FAQ = Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: I am 13 years old? Do you have a part for me?

A: Sometimes. Typically, we use college-age (18) and older as performers in our plays. High school students may sometimes be cast in the spring musical, with parent or guardian permission. We hope someday to create a program for younger actors, but at this time we do not offer such a program. Keep an eye on our web page. We'll announce it here, first!

Q: Do I have to be a student at SSC to audtion for a play?

A: No. Casting is open to all community members, aged 18 and older.

Q: What kinds of materials should I prepare for auditions?

A: You don't need to have a prepared monologue. Our auditions are cold readings from scripts or sides that will be provided at the audition.

Q: Do I need a headshot and resume?

A: No. But if you have one and would like to show it to us, we'll be happy to look! We will return your photo unless it's okay for us to keep it.

Q: How much do you pay?

A: South Suburban College uses volunteer actors, actresses and crew. There is no pay involved, unless you count the applause for a good performance. :-)

Q: Where are you located?

A: South Suburban College is located in South Holland, Illinois about 20 miles south of downtown Chicago. How to find us: SSC's Travel and Direction Maps

Q: How do I join a 3 Stages of SSC Company?

A: Just show up! We're always looking for new people. All we ask is that you be prepared to work hard and have loads of fun. Follow us on FACEBOOK for info on what's happening next.
